Research
Pre-doctoral Researcher – IGIER, Bocconi University
The growing adoption of artificial intelligence and robotics raises important questions about its economic, social, and environmental impacts. This project will use micro-level data on firms and workers to analyze how these technologies affect employment, career paths, productivity, and corporate carbon footprints. To address these research questions, we will rely on rich French administrative datasets, which we link using unique firm, establishment, and individual identifiers. (Principal Investigator: Sauvagnat J.)
Research Assistant – Dondena Centre, Bocconi University
“Shall I Trust You? Diversity, Trust, and Cheating Behavior in School Children” uses a randomized field experiment with middle-school students in Milan. The project combines behavioral games with school information to study how diversity influences trust, honesty, and educational aspirations. (Casarico A., Ghisolfi S., Marcolongo G., Serra C.)
“Trust in a Diverse World” uses experimental treatments that vary the gender, disability, and ethnicity of partners to understand how stereotypes affect economic decisions. (Casarico A., Balbo N., Serra C.)
“Gender Inequality over the Life Cycle, Information Provision and Policy Preferences” analyzes open-ended survey responses using NLP methods to examine how people describe discrimination and the motherhood penalty. (Casarico A., Schuetz J., Uebelmesser S.)
